My goodness this is a big, bold Star Sapphire ring.  The stone itself measures about an inch.  Definitely an attention getter for sure.  This unheated, natural star has a beautiful 6-ray pattern in direct light and just a lovely pink shimmery color without.  It is set in a hand twisted and hammered wire bezel with a small hand forged solid sterling Star on one side.  The band is a floral adjustable band that will fit any finger from 6-10ish.  If you are looking for a bold, substantial piece of jewelry (stone weight and silver weight combined) this is the one.
